2:52
blogger.com. Keith is here every other week. We keep you current and up to date on what's happening with America's
2:57
sports car. Keith, welcome back to the big show. You know, last week, buddy, the movie Barbie came out and it
3:03
featured a pink C1 Corvette with two rows of seating. Well, you know, anytime we could talk
3:09
about Margo Robbie's a good day. Apparently, you know, this Barbie movie is sparking a lot of searches for pink
3:15
Corvettes and classic Corvettes on internet shopping sites. Maybe this will be one of these things again, this
3:20
cultural societal things where all of a sudden all these women are getting into the Corvette hobby again or we'll see a
3:26
sudden flurry of pink Corvettes at Corvettes of Carile this year. You never know. Well, if we can find a two row seated C1
3:32
Corvette any color, I'd buy it. Well, and don't forget that's a two row electric Corvette.
3:37
That's right. That is right. Wow. All right, buddy. We've got lots to cover today. Let's get into it with a
3:43
production update from the Bowling Green assembly plant. Yeah. So, our latest numbers show that Chevrolet has built 45,937
3:50
Corvettes for the 2023 model year, which is again just astonishing to us. The current breakdown, and this is as of
3:56
last week, is 37,500 regular Stingrays and then another 3940
4:02
nearly 4,000 70th anniversary stingrays. Wow. For the Z06s, we have 3726 regular
4:08
Z's and then 683 70th anniversaries. That total number puts us in sixth place
4:14
all time for Corvette production by model year. So again, like we said, that's pretty amazing. So with the current total of that 45,000 cars
4:20
produced so far, we're really moving up there. And then there's some news coming up that we'll talk about that says that
4:26
maybe Chevy is going for the record. That record is 1979 53,87
4:31
cars. I think we'll be at the end of this week. We should be solidly fourth behind 1977, 1984, and 1979. And like I
4:40
said, if they keep going, we have the prospect of being 50,000 plus and in that top three. That's awesome. And not to distract from
4:47
the 2023 numbers, but the 2024 pricing is out for Corvette as well. Yeah, this was a huge week. We had so
4:54
much information rolled out just the Chevy promise for the 2024. So, before we get to model pricing, Chevy also
4:59
raised the destination fee another $200 to $1,595. This is that mandatory fee on
5:05
all Corvettes. probably one that Chevy's using to target their increased fuel costs and other fees associated with
5:10
delivering Corvettes around the country. It's sometimes confusing because you see sometimes pricing with the MSRP and then
5:16
with the shipping cost and then sometimes you don't. We're going to be sharing MSRP increases with that additional $200. So when you hear our
5:23
final numbers, it will have that extra $200 in there. For the 2024 Stingray, those prices are going up $2,000 for the
5:30
1LT coupe and then $1,800 for the 2LT and 3LT coups. The increase for the 1LT
5:36
convertible is $1,500 and then the 2LT and 3LT convertibles are going up by $1,800. Again, we see Chevy targeting
5:44
sometimes they've done that across the board price increase against all trim models. This time it seems like they're
5:49
targeting the 1LZs with a little bit more while the people that are getting the more loaded cars with all the
5:55
additional equipment, that increase is just a little bit less. So, here's what we got for Z06. We are seeing the $3,000
6:01
price increase on 1LZ coups and 2,700 for the 2LZ and 3LZ coupes. For the 1LZ
6:07
convertible, that price goes up $2,500 and then the 2 LZ and 3 LZs are increased by $2,700. Substantial price
6:14
increases, but the one thing we didn't really see was any kind of pricing increases on equipment. So, Mag Ride,
6:20
front lift, the performance packages like Z-51 and Z07, all those stayed the same. So, that's all pretty good news
6:26
there. The one really big substantial price increase again had to do with the
6:31
RHC museum delivery program. That price went up 50%. It was $9.95 to have your
6:36
car delivered at the museum. Now it's $14.95. And again, you have to pay the 15.95 delivery fee on top of that. So
6:44
nearly $3,000 to have your car picked up at the Corvette Museum. There you go. And not only do we get
6:49
2024 pricing, but the order guide is now out plus the build and price configurator.
6:54
Yeah. you know, we get pricing and that's all exciting and of course we have to know that stuff. But for me as a kind of the geek behind the scenes here,
7:00
I love the order guide when that rolls out. It shows us all the options, the packages, what you can order, what you
7:05
can't order. It's always the first look really at 2024 specifically on those
7:10
kinds of things. Stuff that they rolled out at the bash this year, they never talked about stuff that we ended up seeing. Just to kind of get into it, you
7:17
know, we already know 2024 is coming out. Corvettes are getting three new colors, Riptide, Metallic, Cacti, and
7:22
Seawolf. We're getting another top level interior color called Artemis, which is that green color. One of the surprises,
7:28
carbon flash black, is available across the board as a exterior color. And then we're getting a bunch of new safety
7:35
items like the following distance indicator, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, lane departure, and the
7:41
order guide shows us that all these new safety features are standard across the board, which again is fantastic news. I
7:47
always think that Chevy should be protecting its occupants and its cars by offering all the safety features on any
7:53
level. That's something that we've just always believed. The Corvettes are also getting these Intellibbeam auto highbeams, which I had one on a rental
8:00
car earlier this year and it was fantastic. You know, lights come on and off and it just does it themselves. So, really looking forward to that. Some of
8:07
the new stuff that we hadn't heard, we're getting a tech bronze accent package for the Stingray and the Z06. It
8:13
includes like the tech bronze wheels and there's special striping with tech bronze accent colors on it. That'll be
8:18
coming. There's no Tech Bronze accessory wheels for the -ay. So, we're not really seeing the full package available for
8:24
that, but there are a couple tech bronze accent graphics that are available over there for the as well. Some other new
8:30
stuff. All models can order a new visible carbon fiber sill plates. There you go, Steve. All right. You're going
8:35
to like those. convertible models, you can get the new convertible engine appearance package, which is that engine
8:41
cover with the window and then you select the edge red or the sterling silver engine cover for it. Continuing
8:47
with the updates, specific to Stingray, we have a new twoost spoiler invisible carbon fiber. That thing's beautiful. I
8:53
I played with it on the build and price the other day. It's a visible carbon fiber. It's $6,000. Seems like $6150 I
8:59
think is the price on it. Wow. And then the Stingray is also getting these beautiful 15 spoke bright polished
9:05
wheels. Those wheels are going for like4,300. Some of this stuff that are accessories. The pricing on them is
9:10
fairly substantial. Z06 is getting spoiler extensions with Jake logos for the base spoiler. These are the plates
9:16
that come on the back of the level three spoiler. Lift it up just a little bit. And then also we're getting the visible
9:21
carbon fiber wheels with a red stripe around it. Those things are going for like 135, but again it's just another
9:27
wheel that you can add to your car. And then the last thing is a new LT6 engine cover, invisible carbon fiber as well.
9:34
In addition to all that news, Chevy launched the build and price configurators last week. The build and price configurators, they allow us to
9:40
build the cars in real time and see pricing and the options and packages there. I got to tell you, Steve, I built
9:45
a bunch of cars over the weekend. I built an E-Ray with an MSRP of $166,000.
9:51
Wow. And yes, it did have those red stripe visible carbon fiber wheels on them. But if you go into the build and price
9:57
configurator, Z06 buyers may be seeing a sign basically that says see dealers for pricing. And even though all the pricing
10:03
was revealed, we think that the reason why it says that is because there may be an update coming to the gaser tax. I had
10:10
a Chevy rep go into the system and look and it showed that there was no gas or pricing available. I think that's really
10:17
why we're seeing that message to check with dealers because that's one of these federal things that has to be added. So you can't actually total it up and give
10:24
you a total without that figure. So I think that's why Z06 buyers are seeing that seed dealers for pricing area. All
10:29
really great news. Good stuff there. And boy, we can waste a lot of time in those building price configurations.
10:34
Oh my gosh, buddy. I did the same thing and I saw that C dealer for pricing thing on the Z06 and I was wondering
10:40
what it was. So, thanks for that possible clarification. We're still working on getting some confirmation from that, but I feel
10:46
pretty confident that's what it is. I think you're right, too. And also, we got some good news on the 2023 Z06s. A
10:52
few dealerships got additional allocation last week. Yeah, this actually goes back to about two weeks ago. We heard from some
10:58
dealers that Chevrolet had provided additional Z06 allocations and we call these bonus allocations because they
11:03
happened outside the regular order cycles. I think they're filling holes. They're looking at their production
11:08
schedules and they say, "Okay, looks like we can fit some more here, some more there." That's why we call them kind of these bonus allocations as part
11:14
of that. We also heard some of these bonus allocations were fairly substantial. Some dealers did say they got Z07s with that and they were also
11:21
able to order the 70th anniversary packages with the carbon fiber arrow as well. So, that's all good news there.
11:27
And again, looks like we're wrapping everything up for the model year. Yeah, definitely. We also saw that the final order cycle for the Z06s was last
11:34
Thursday, the 20th of July, but 2024s are now going to start a week later. Isn't that right?
11:40
Yeah. So, they sent out some additional information on July 20th. And again, they did this before last day to order
11:46
Z06 is today. Of course, no one has any allocations to do that. So, it looks like it's done there. Unless there's
11:53
some additional bonus allocations offered in the coming weeks, we would say that 2023 model year looks to be done. One change for the 2023 model year
12:00
is that they will now end on September 12th instead of September 1st. We've been kind of speculating that maybe
12:05
Chevy's trying to hit that Corvette production record. There's also some indications that maybe no, they just
12:10
extended it because they can build a few more 70th anniversaries. They have that equipment on there. You know, that stuff goes obsolete after this year. They can
12:17
only use it for parts to refill their parts warehouses. If they've got some extras, they can try to build them. We might be seeing that. But again, that
12:23
record is 53,87. We get up into the 50,000s for 2023 model year. That would be huge.
12:29
Yeah, absolutely. The start of the 2024 model year, they call that start of regular production.
12:35
That's been pushed back also to September 12th. So, we're expecting the end of the 2023s to end and then the
12:40
start of 2024s to happen on the very same day. Okay. So, that's pretty interesting there. And they've done that before. That's really
12:45
no big deal there. Yeah. As far as ordering goes, Chevrolet has confirmed three allocation groups for each of the
12:51
three Corvette models. And then this week will be the first order cycle for the 2024 Corvettes and will only include
12:57
Stingray and Z06. The first order cycle will happen August 17th. So they are
13:03
staggering a little bit, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be months away. So it sounds like they're going to get their ducks in a row first for the
13:09
Stingray and the Z06, which everybody's already been working with, and then they'll add the -ays in the coming weeks
13:14
there. That sounds good. At least we have a firm date to get -ray orders in. That's great. Absolutely.
13:20
Also, to finish out our news section, Keith, we got the top 10 Chevrolet dealerships on the first half of 2023.
13:26
Yeah, this was a nice little update. Kind of unexpected, but it showed up in our inbox, and boy, we posted it right away. We had another update just a month
13:33
ago, so not much has changed, but it this does cover, you know, January 1st through June 30th. The one major
13:39
difference between this report and the previous one, it shows sales quantities for each month, which is always interesting. Yeah. So leading the pack
13:45
still is McMulan Corvette in New Hampshire. They have 697 deliveries, followed by Sioka of Atlantic City with
13:52
574. So they're ahead about 120 there or so. And then Kriswell and Mike Ferman
13:57
are tied with third with Bomb Chevrolet down in Gland with 248 cars. These cars
14:02
represent about 15% of total sales, the top 10 dealers. So that means a great place to get a car from these top 10,
14:08
but also a lot of sales happening outside the top 10. That's why we always suggest you talk to your local dealers, your regional dealers, and these
14:15
national ones before putting in your order because then you'll get the greatest sense of who's got the cars, how long is the list, what's my weight
14:20
going to be, that kind of thing. Exactly right, buddy. It's time for our first break. When we come back, Corvette racing and Corvette rumors are on deck
14:27

Call them at 833639-4231. I'm your host, Steve Garrett. With me is
19:06
Keith Cornet from Corvette Blogger.com. We keep you current and uptodate on what's happening in the world of
19:11
Corvette every other week. In segment two, we covered Corvette Racing and Corvette Rumors. Keith Corvette Racing
19:17
is busy. We've got results for Monza and CTMP, and we've got a preview of
19:22
Limerock. Yeah, we said you could argue that Corvette Racing really had its greatest weekend ever with the Corvette C8Rs
19:28
racing on two continents and in two different series, but that's exactly what we had a couple weeks ago in North America. IMSA series. The number three
19:35
CR was at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and Jordan Taylor and Antonio Garcia earned the team's first win of
19:41
the season and it was the 12th win at the track as well. So, we haven't won in Canada since 2014. It was really cool to
19:47
be back in the winter circle there. And meanwhile, over in Italy, the number 33 Corvette C8R was in action at the World
19:53
Endurance Championship for the 6 hours of Monza. You know, we won that race last year. This year, it's the first
19:58
race after Le Man, so we're coming off of that. We were carrying 40 kg of success ballast for the win at lemons.
20:04
Plus, we had another 10 kg added for BOP. So, our Corvette was 110 pounds heavier than its competitors. That did
20:11
impact us. We finished fourth in class. But luckily, we had so many points secured through the season that it was
20:17
enough to get us the GTM drivers and the team titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship already. That's great news
20:24
there. As you mentioned, IMSA teams racing at Limerock Park. They just raced on Saturday. We'll have those results in
20:30
our next episode. And then the next round for Corvette racing in the FIAWC is the 6 hours of Fuji on September
20:36
10th. Sounds good. Also, we saw that Prattton Miller is considering going into the NT
20:41
Indie Car Series, which I thought was really interesting. You think you've already got a championship caliber racing team. Your
20:48
components are in place with the all the behindthe-scenes stuff. This news comes from Marshall Puit of racer.com. Pratt
20:53
Miller Motorsports has already been working in the series since 2012 through its partnership with General Motors. So
20:58
General Motors would give them like engineering projects to work on for their indie car teams, but a lot of those projects and resources now have
21:05
moved towards this new technical center in Charlotte that handles a lot of their NASCAR and Indie car stuff now. And so a
21:11
lot of that stuff has moved there now that the Pratt Miller Motorsports has some additional time on their hands. They're thinking, well, maybe we should
21:17
undertake an Indie car program. There's no launch date announced, but they're looking at maybe 2025 or 2026 with their
21:23
full-time entry. When they came out and said, "We're no longer going to be Corvette racing. We're going to be Corvette racing by Pratt Miller
21:29
Motorsports." So, we figure that if they go Indie Car racing, maybe they could call their team Indie Car Racing by Prep
21:35
Miller Motorsports. Yeah, that makes sense. That's true. Great people over there. If they do a team, you can bet that they're going to
21:41
want to be winning. They're going to have the right people in place to do that. So, that's a pretty interesting announcement there, and we're going to keep our eyes on it over the next couple
21:47
years. Definitely that could go under Corvette Racing and Corvette Rumors. But in Corvette Rumors, Callaway is claiming
21:53
that it's got 687 horsepower and 643 pound- feet of torque on the new
21:59
supercharger package for the C8 Corvette. Wow. Yeah. So, it was last year at the Corvettes and Carile show that they were
22:05
first showing off a supercharger on top of the LT2. They were using a 2.3 L
22:11
triple cooled supercharging system with a root type Eaton TVS 2300. That's
22:16
something they've used previously before. As they were wrapping up their performance testing, they said that these stats represent some of the best
22:22
performance of any Callaway Corvette ever tested. So, as you said, max horsepower 687, max torque 643, and they
22:30
think they're 0 to 60 mph acceleration will be around 2.67 seconds. That's
22:35
pretty quick there. And I think, you know, you're starting to get into some Z06 territory. And then they also released a/4 mile time. They think 10.64
22:42
seconds at 129. Definitely seeing a nice bump in performance out of a Stingray with the Callaway supercharger on it.
22:48
Great things coming out of Callaway cars, that's for sure. Well, buddy, let's take our final break. When we come back, the lighter side of Corvette is up

Hey honey, are you awake? M I am now. I can't sleep. Since turning 50, I keep
24:25
dreaming of a red door and a blue door. Somehow knowing there are only choices for retirement.
24:30
Okay. Through the red door, we outlive our money. We have to rely on our kids. We're stuck on a fixed income. It's
24:36
terrifying. Yeah, that would suck. But through the blue door, our money outlives us. We retire on our terms. Our
24:43
kids stay our kids, not our caretakers. We make work optional. Yes, that's much
24:49
better. That's what I want, too. But what do we do? We call True Wealth and Company at 913-6538783.
24:56
They specialize in helping successful people make work optional. They're our fiduciary blue door personal wealth

25:58
every other week is Keith Cornet from corvette blogger.com. Don't forget if you want a deeper dive into any of these
26:04
stories Keith and I cover, you can always go to corvette blogger.com. In this third and final segment, we cover
26:10
the lighter side of Corvette, but some of these stories are not very light. First of all, a great story, Keith. Ron
26:16
Fellows himself, set a production lap record in the C8 Z06. That was really, really cool.
26:21
And again, it shows what this car can do in the hands of a true master. Corvette Hall of Famer Ron Fellows. He's part
26:27
owner also of Canadian Tire Motorsports Park up there in Canada. He had the chance to do a hot lap in the Z06 with
26:33
the Z07 performance package with the Carbon Arrow. And when it was all said and done, he set a lap record for a
26:38
production car. His time was 1 minute 22 seconds and 12100s of a second. That's 4
26:44
seconds quicker than he did a lap in a C7 Z06. Wow. Pretty huge there. Is his C7 time was
26:51
126 versus the 122. So you can see again with the difference in the way the car's
26:56
architecture set up. Of course, you've got that wild arrow configuration on the back. He took 4 seconds off of time and
27:01
we thought that C7 time was fast. That's amazing. That was really cool. I was blown away to see that. That was really
27:07
neat. And Ron's been on Corvette today, so it was great to see a friend of the show breaking a record. That's for sure.
27:13
Right on. Yep. Also, Sioka Chevrolet in Atlantic City won dealer of the year from Chevrolet.
27:18
How cool is that? We say that they may no longer be the world's largest Corvette dealership, but they remain one of the best places to
27:24
purchase a new Corvette. Chevrolet recently bestowed upon them dealer of the year honors for 2022 and there was a
27:30
celebration that held last week where Chevrolet dropped off that new trophy hardware. They put up a championship
27:36
banner in the dealership. In addition to that, they also earned the Chevrolet Mark of Excellence award for 2022 which
27:41
goes out to dealers with unsurpassed performance and customer satisfaction. My understanding is that Chevy gives
27:47
these awards to about 60 dealers. So out of 3,000 dealers or so, only 60 of them will be quote dealer of the year. It is
27:54
a huge honor for them. So if you see others saying, "Well, we're dealer of the year, too. That's why they get it in different zones and areas." Great place
28:00
to buy a Corvette. Seio, that's great. And a sad note, a friend of the show, Reeves Callaway, a Corvette
28:06
legend, passed away last week. He was 75 years old. And Reeves will be honored coming up at Corvettes at Carile.
28:12
Yeah, this was a gut punch. When I got the news, you and I talked, we just couldn't believe it. Apparently, he
28:17
sustained injuries from a fall in his home on July 11th, which is just one of these crazy things. It shows just how
28:22
precious life is. But you're correct, Corvettes at Carile announced that they're going to be honoring the legacy of Reeves Callaway and they're going to
28:28
focus on his three Lemons cars. He built these performance packages for Corvettes. He also built his own bespoke
28:35
cars. Some of those cars he took racing at Lemons. The Chips Choice display this year was already going to be focused on
28:41
the 100th anniversary Lemons with some significant Corvette racers. So, the fact they've been able to add these
28:46
three Lemons cars from Callaway is a really big deal. And we're being told it's the first time that these three
28:51
cars have all been together at one place around Corvette to Carlile. There'll be some extra signage and banners for
28:56
Reeves. They're going to do an extra moment of revving in his honor. They do that rev off every year for our fallen
29:01
friends. Look for a feature segment of the event guide and some other special moments over at the Callaway Owners Group where they park at. Re is just a
29:08
fascinating guy. So easy to strike up a conversation with. And when you had a conversation with him, it was like he was listening to your every word. He was
29:14
making direct eye contact, answering questions. Just a great guy. I sat next to him and his son Pete during the
29:20
reveal of the 2020 Corvette out at Ton. Just will never forget that experience. I tell people that when Mark Royce
29:25
announced that the 2020 Corvette was going to be $5995, I think it was. He literally gasped next to me. He couldn't
29:32
believe that Chevy was rolling out this mid-enine Corvette and then was going to price it at $599. Just great to hear
29:37
that perspective from him. And of course, he's finally got to the point where he was able to tune the C8 and they were getting ready to launch that
29:43
and that was some of his last stuff. That car is gonna be his swan song. Although the people behind Callaway
29:49
always have some other great stuff planned as well, I'm sure. Reeves, what a gut punch there. We're going to miss him terribly.
29:54
Absolutely. And on a personal note, Reeves has been on Corvette Today twice and his first show, he was one of the
30:00
very early ones in year number one. Reeves actually told me, he said, "Steve, this interview on Corvette Today
30:06
was the best Callaway car interview ever." And I was really, really honored and touched by that. So, Reeves, rest in
30:13
peace. We will miss you, my friend. Also, Keith, the National Corvette Museum has filed for its first federal
30:18
grant. How about that? Yeah, NCM President Sharon Bronner had mentioned this at the NCM Bash that the museum was working with professional
30:24
grant writers to go after some of these federal funds and they applied for their first ever federal grant. It's a
30:30
$300,000 grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities, and that would provide matching funds for like an
30:35
exhibit renovation project or something like that. says the museum will also be applying in the fall for another
30:40
potential six-f figureure grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences. This is money that's already out there. My readers didn't really like
30:47
this news. I was kind of shocked by how many wanted nothing to do with federal money, federal grants, thought that it
30:53
was a handout from taxpayers and that if the museum can't do it on their own, they shouldn't be taking federal money. But this is money that's already out
30:58
there and allocated and available and it's going to things like the Corvette Museum. If it's out there, why not try
31:04
to get it? Absolutely right. Also, Keith, there was a show called For All Mankind, and it
31:09
was just full of Corvettes, wasn't it? Yeah. So, For All Mankind is a TV show on the Apple Plus network. It's like a
31:16
little bit of a reinvision of history. It imagines that the Soviets got to the moon first, put the Soviet flag on the
31:21
moon first. Our astronauts are sitting back and watching all this and now they've got some stuff that they want to do. It's a little bit of fiction, but
31:28
what's true about it is astronauts drove Corvettes. They had the promotional packages where they could drive them for
31:33
a full year for a dollar, right? There's a scene in there which shows the wrapping up a meeting and then last one
31:39
to this buy. So there's like six or eight astronauts all running through the halls. They run out to the parking lot.
31:44
All their Corvettes are parked up in a row there. There's a nice combination of couple C2s and C3s. This supposedly
31:50
takes place in 1969. So you'll see the 69 Corvette and also a 67 I think is in
31:56
the scene. But yeah, they're racing on their way to the club. I've actually not watched the show. One of my writers is watching it. He says there's a lot of
32:02
Corvettes in it. So, we might have to put that on our show list. There you go. For all mankind on Apple
32:08
Plus. Our final story, Keith. You know, we had the top 10 dealerships. Now, we've got a list of dealerships that
32:13
have the highest markups for C8 Z06s. So, this was the bad list as opposed to
32:18
the top 10 list. Exactly. I've been often wondering just how pervasive is the market adjustment
32:25
situation out there. This is where you have your MSRP and then dealers add anywhere from 10,000 to up towards
32:30
100,000 or more on the car just because they can. And we've been through this all before without getting too much into
32:35
it. Something that caught my eye over on the miden Corvette forum was a member over there. He's been capturing this
32:41
build data on the Z06s. There's a couple guys like him. You know, there's Roger Keel on Facebook who charts all the
32:47
production numbers for us. But Dave on the Miden Corvette forum, he's captured build data for 2700 new Z06s. And of
32:55
that list, he has the actual dealer pricing for 1,934 of them. And he gets
33:01
that through the live inventory tab on Chevrolet.com. So you go to chevrolet.com and under the shopping
33:07
tab, there's a live inventory and it'll show you the Corvettes that are in your area, even if they're sold. But a lot of
33:12
the Z06s, dealers were getting them and then selling them themselves, and they would add their number to it, and that
33:18
would show up under that live inventory number at Chevrolet.com. Dave was on the Corvettes that he had pricing for. He
33:24
cataloged that. He also cataloged like if it had Z07, what arrow it had, that sort of thing. Yeah.
33:29
I was really focused on this list because 66% of these dealers with pricing on Z06s are all selling them for
33:35
greater than MSRP. Wow. A huge number there. To give you example of that list that we put together, 27
33:42
dealers had pricing of $100,000 or more and I think something like 90 had
33:48
pricing of additional $50,000 to $999 and then another 90 had $10,000 to
33:54
$50,000. So it's very pervasive out there. There's a lot of dealers that are just saying, you know what, our customer
34:00
relationships don't matter anymore. Yeah, we might have sold you three or four Corvettes in the past. Maybe you bought a truck from us. Great. We're
34:06
going to charge you $30,000 over for this Corvette Z06, no matter what. Customer relationships right out the window. For many of these dealers, it's
34:12
all about the dollar. We make the claim that you shouldn't be giving these guys your sales money. You shouldn't be giving your service money. There's too
34:18
many other dealers out there that are playing ball with us and want our business the right way. So, we put together this list. It is what it is. It
34:24
just shows that times have changed. Not everybody is as loyal to Corvettes as you and I are, as well as many dealers,
34:31
especially those top 10 dealers that we talked about earlier. All those guys are MSRP dealers and look at them. They sell the most Corvettes. That's the trick,
34:38
right? Exactly. But you got these guys that get one car or two cars. They see it as a money maker and it's just a real shame. But
34:45
it's kind of where we are right now. So this post just highlights these are dealers that are charging a lot more for
34:50
the Z06. It's the list of shame, Keith. That's what it is. Absolutely. It's sad that we have to end that way, but again, knowledge is power.
34:57
We just put this out there so people know what's out there and can make their decisions. Don't pay over MSRP, my friends. do not
35:03
pay over MSRP. Well, Keith, thanks for being on Corvette today. It's great to have you as always, buddy. We will see
35:08
you back in two weeks. Sounds great, Steve. Happy to be here. Everybody out there, keep waving. Go see your Barbie movie with your daughters or
35:15
granddaughters. And who knows, maybe you'll start a trend of pink Corvettes everywhere across the Corvette Nation.
