2:20
welcoming corvette owners from around
2:22
the world my guest on corvette today is
2:24
a returning guest as a matter of fact
2:26
he's lance miller the owner of corvettes
2:28
at carlisle
2:29
which is taking place august 26 through
2:32
the 28th this year
2:33
now that things are really opening up
2:35
the corvettes at carlisle event will
2:37
definitely be a terrific one to attend
2:39
so today we're going to talk about
2:40
everything that's going on at corvettes
2:42
in carlisle this year
2:44
lance welcome back to corvette today i'm
2:47
excited to be back on thanks for having
2:48
me
2:48
you bet buddy it's good to have you here
2:50
let's talk a little bit about the
2:52
history of corvettes at carlisle
2:54
tell everybody how everything got
2:55
started well
2:57
it was my father and his good friend
2:58
bill miller which have the same last
3:00
name
3:01
they actually got kicked out of hershey
3:02
car show which is in pa
3:04
and essentially started up fall carlisle
3:07
well after they had fall carlisle for a
3:09
few years which started in 1974 by the
3:11
way
3:12
we're going way way back yeah and 1982
3:15
time frame
3:16
my dad decided you know what would be
3:18
pretty neat is bringing all my friends
3:20
together and essentially hosting a
3:21
corvette party
3:22
so that's exactly what he did and that's
3:24
how corvettes at carlisle came to be
3:26
and your dad and bill miller had no
3:27
relation did they they didn't it's kind
3:29
of funny because i always hear people
3:31
come up and say hey your uncle
3:33
now all the time typically ironically
3:36
we're probably
3:37
closer with bill than i am my own family
3:39
so it's
3:40
uh that's amazing that's for sure
3:43
at its peak lance how many corvettes
3:46
have attended
3:47
carlisle at any given year that's a
3:49
complicated question
3:50
just because of the fact and i'm not
3:52
trying to skirt it but
3:53
corvette said carlyle has a lot of
3:55
corvettes that come and i don't know
3:57
the exact number i can tell you that our
4:00
fun field
4:01
and those are the people that
4:02
specifically sign up for our fun field
4:04
entry meaning that there's a big show
4:06
field
4:07
and it's right in the middle of
4:08
everything so you can come park on our
4:10
facility i know that number
4:12
and the most that we ever had was just a
4:14
tad under 3 000 cars
4:16
which is a lot of cars it makes for an
4:18
absolutely amazing display
4:20
but at the same time it's very
4:21
challenging to get that many cars on a
4:23
82 acre facility
4:25
it's a lot of fun seeing them all
4:27
together and seeing the variety of
4:28
colors and obviously the different
4:30
generations yeah that's cool so at 3 000
4:33
cars how many people do you think have
4:34
attended
4:35
corvettes at carlisle during any given
4:37
year then typically during a big year
4:39
you're right around
4:40
60 000 visitors throughout so and when i
4:43
say that you've got
4:44
again we don't know the exact number
4:45
because say that we have a vendor entry
4:48
there could be
4:48
10 people that come in for that
4:50
particular vendor that help out
4:52
so i don't keep a direct count i don't
4:54
obviously go out and look and see how
4:56
many people are in a van a vendor that's
4:57
coming in but
4:58
we have a pretty good number as far as
5:01
gate entry
5:02
and obviously show field as well so
5:05
that's around the mark that we have
5:07
and that's a big event 60 000 people
5:09
coming through
5:10
that's huge that's amazing 60 000 people
5:13
for an event for corvettes that's
5:15
amazing
5:16
lance talk about the grounds the
5:17
corvettes at carlisle grounds how big is
5:19
the area for this event
5:21
well again we have 82 acres but we also
5:23
incorporated about 25-30 acres
5:26
outside of our fence for parking and
5:28
what have you it's important obviously
5:30
not only for the people that come in
5:32
their corvettes to park and have a great
5:34
location
5:35
at our facility but also the people that
5:37
want to come in and check out all the
5:38
cars
5:39
frankly for me that's even a bigger part
5:41
of it just due to the fact i want people
5:43
to come in look at the cars have fun
5:45
really enjoy that camaraderie that we
5:47
all enjoy so much at corvettes of
5:48
carlisle
5:49
have them become a corvette person and
5:52
hopefully go out and buy a corvette and
5:53
become a part of it
5:54
that's my number one job that's true and
5:57
it's nice because
5:59
if you don't own a corvette or can't
6:01
drive it across country
6:02
to come to pennsylvania at carlisle you
6:05
can just fly in
6:06
and still park and still enjoy
6:08
everything isn't that right
6:09
absolutely yeah we encourage that in
6:11
fact that's awesome
6:13
talk about how the name came about
6:15
corvettes at carlisle came from
6:16
carlisle events though didn't it oh
6:18
absolutely it essentially
6:20
there's no big bragging rights about a
6:22
name i guess and corvettes at carlisle
6:24
just had that
6:25
right ring to it and my dad and bill
6:27
went for it that sounds good well buddy
6:29
let's take our first break real quick
6:30
and when we come back
6:31
in segment number two we're going to
6:33

[Music]
7:39
and now back to corvette today with your
7:42
host
7:43
and my husband steve garrett hey thanks
7:46
for listening to corvette today the
7:48
podcast that talks about everything
7:49
corvette
7:50
i'm your host steve garrett with me
7:52
today is lance miller the owner of
7:54
corvettes at carlisle
7:55
the biggest event in the world of
7:57
corvette lance in this second segment
7:59
let's talk about this year's event
8:01
again let's give everybody the dates
8:02
coming up sure august 26th to the 28th
8:05
will be the event and we encourage you
8:07
to come on out
8:08
now talk about some of the packages and
8:10
the admission pricing that goes
8:12
on are there any discounts military
8:14
people that can come in and
8:16
things like that absolutely there is a
8:18
military discount and at the same time
8:20
12 and under we certainly encourage
8:22
children to come to the show
8:23
it's free for those children that's near
8:25
and dear to my heart just because of the
8:27
fact i want to see
8:28
young children coming out to the shows
8:30
and having a good time with either their
8:31
grandparents or their parents
8:33
hopefully both and become a car person
8:35
down the road that's what it's all about
8:37
typically an event passes only 35 for
8:40
the three days so you can't really go
8:41
wrong there
8:42
if you want to come just daily it's 20
8:44
for admissions
8:45
it's just a lot of fun you can buy the
8:47
tickets online prior
8:49
and get a discount as well at
8:51
carlisleevents.com too
8:52
perfect now talk about the fun field
8:54
talk about the registration and also
8:56
the gate and go registration absolutely
8:59
the fun field's what the events
9:00
all about that's kind of the heart and
9:02
soul i shouldn't say that the vendor is
9:04
probably the heart and soul to it but
9:05
nevertheless fun field is very important
9:07
because
9:08
those are the car owners that are coming
9:10
in bringing their vehicles
9:11
and really just displaying them
9:13
throughout the weekend
9:14
and it's amazing to see all these
9:16
vehicles come together like i said
9:18
earlier just seeing
9:19
the display the different colors it's
9:21
just amazing i'd love to stand on top of
9:23
the hill look down
9:24
and just see this mass array of vehicles
9:27
it's staggering truly and i still
9:29
i i'm like taken away every time i look
9:32
down and see that
9:33
on top of the hill at each of our events
9:35
it's amazing to see and i always
9:36
encourage everybody to go up and check
9:38
it out for themselves
9:39
it's a lot of fun bringing your own car
9:41
because you have the opportunity to also
9:44
win a celebrity award
9:45
celebrity award is just that for
9:47
instance say that steve you come to our
9:49
show you're a celebrity
9:50
people listen to your podcast and that's
9:52
what it's all about we want you to go
9:53
out pick your
9:54
favorite vehicle for whatever reason it
9:56
doesn't matter you simply just go out
9:58
and say you know hey i like pink cars
10:00
and i'm gonna go find myself a pink
10:02
corvette that's what it's about that's
10:03
fine
10:04
or you could say i want the modified
10:05
corvette one that has a big engine
10:07
hanging out of the hood
10:08
and i want it to be a c3 you go hunt it
10:11
down you'll find it at carlisle
10:12
so that's what it's all about just
10:14
having fun doesn't matter what type of
10:16
car the judge
10:17
likes or wants to pick in fact i'll give
10:19
you a little side note
10:21
typically when i go out and pick my
10:22
celebrity pick at any of our shows
10:24
it's usually when there's a family
10:26
sitting around their car
10:28
they're having a little picnic and i
10:29
just kind of go up and randomly talk to
10:31
them and hang
10:32
out and all of a sudden you quickly
10:34
realize that that's what this is all
10:35
about
10:36
the people and the families that come
10:38
and that's
10:39
exactly what i look for just talking to
10:41
them getting to know them and see how
10:43
much fun they're having and then you pop
10:45
it hey
10:46
guess what guys i'm going to choose your
10:47
car for a celebrity pick and it's
10:49
typically oh let's take pictures let's
10:50
do this
10:51
and it's so much fun and i wish i could
10:53
take the claim and say that that was my
10:55
idea but it wasn't
10:57
it was actually my dad's friend david
10:59
gray that came up with that idea and
11:00
then he implemented it and it's
11:02
lasted ever since well it's a cool idea
11:05
and you know what so many other
11:06
different shows
11:07
use that same format and do the same
11:10
thing as well
11:11
also lance it's so cool because i've
11:13
watched different videos on youtube and
11:15
follow different corvette people on
11:17
youtube
11:18
you can actually buy a corvette at
11:20
corvettes at carlisle right
11:22
oh there's no lack there it's amazing
11:24
how many cars are out there to purchase
11:27
i try and get through there but i'm too
11:29
darn busy most of the time
11:31
and the funny thing is i have friends
11:32
that come up to me and they're always
11:33
like oh look at what i just got and i'm
11:35
like holy cow and you got it for this
11:37
i'm jealous in a sense but yes there's a
11:39
big area we call it the
11:40
corvette corral there's plenty of
11:42
vehicles all generations available so if
11:44
you don't have a corvette
11:46
come to corvettes at carlisle there's
11:47
your opportunity that's really really
11:49
cool and
11:50
the flea market returns this year right
11:52
absolutely
11:53
as i said earlier you know that's the
11:55
heart and soul to our event
11:56
we started off carlisle through vendors
11:59
that's what it was all about
12:00
and to me it's very important to
12:02
continue that tradition
12:03
one it's a lot of fun just walking
12:05
through there and literally i tell
12:07
people you could build a corvette
12:09
walking through
12:10
corvettes at carlisle vendor area
12:11
there's no doubt about it
12:13
it's crazy the amount of parts the other
12:15
thing that i love about the vendor area
12:17
which is so nice is the knowledge as you
12:20
walk
12:21
through that area if you're able to just
12:22
walk through and actually talk to the
12:24
various vendors you'll be blown away at
12:26
the knowledge that they have
12:28
in the corvette arena many of them have
12:30
worked for gm throughout the years
12:32
it's unbelievable i'm blown away every
12:34
time i walk through and meet new vendors
12:35
that
12:36
seriously have an amazing background and
12:38
our celebrities and their their own you
12:40
know it's
12:40
neat so we're very fortunate to have
12:42
them support us and being a technical
12:44
geek that i am
12:45
i love this you have an app for
12:47
corvettes at carlisle
12:48
it helps you organize your visit at the
12:51
event doesn't it
12:52
it's awesome i use that thing all the
12:54
time i'm glad you brought that up
12:55
it's funny because i have people come up
12:57
and ask me all the time we do have an
12:59
event magazine for the show as well
13:01
however i never have it with me so when
13:03
people come up and ask me i just simply
13:05
go on the app and they sit there and
13:06
watch me uh cruise around the app and
13:08
they're like oh
13:09
i need to download that so it's amazing
13:11
little tool it tells you where all the
13:13
vendors are located
13:14
it also tells you as you had mentioned
13:16
the scheduling
13:17
what i like about it is it's a push
13:19
notification so it will remind me
13:22
let's say i want to watch a seminar at
13:23
noon on saturday
13:25
it'll tell me hey 15 minutes you want to
13:27
be up at this area for this seminar so
13:29
it's a great tool
13:30
that's amazing i'm glad that you have
13:32
that because that really helps me
13:34
organize my visit
13:35
at any show and especially as big as
13:37
corvettes at carlisle
13:39
is that would be an awesome tool to have
13:41
it's nice
13:42
also talk about what's available for
13:44
kids and also for women
13:46
attending the show that might not be the
13:48
biggest corvette person in the world
13:50
absolutely you heard me talk about
13:52
children earlier i'm all about it so is
13:54
my partner bill
13:56
it's so important to grow our hobby and
13:58
get children involved so what we decided
14:00
to do was have
14:01
a kids area there's activities there we
14:03
have little drawing competitions
14:05
coloring competitions we have a slide
14:07
for them just to hang out slide we'll
14:09
typically put out some video games
14:11
obviously some card games and just have
14:13
fun we even bought a volkswagen where
14:15
kids can actually color it we have that
14:17
chalk paint on it so they can color it
14:19
with chalk
14:20
really just try to encourage them to
14:22
become a part of the hobby
14:23
even when they don't even know it that's
14:26
fun that's great because
14:27
a lot of people aren't necessarily there
14:29
might be one corvette person in the
14:31
family
14:32
but everybody else comes and attends
14:34
with that person but
14:35
it's nice because you have different
14:36
things for women to do and children to
14:38
do
14:39
even if they're not the biggest corvette
14:41
enthusiast in the world
14:42
exactly and the neat thing about the
14:44
women's oasis area is what we dub it
14:46
you can just go in there hang out and
14:47
there's a lot of things just to purchase
14:50
whether it's food or candles or jewelry
14:54
it's nice to just have that little
14:55
section and quite frankly it's even
14:58
better if your husband and you broke
14:59
away for the weekend and your wife's mad
15:01
at you and you can go buy her something
15:03
there so
15:04
we do provide that and it's just nice to
15:06
have that's a smart idea buddy
15:08
well i tell you what let's take our
15:09
final break and then the third segment
15:11
we're going to talk about
15:12
what's new this year at corvettes at

15:53
blue door somehow
15:54
knowing there are only choices for
15:55
retirement okay
15:58
through the red door we outlive our
15:59
money we have to rely on our kids
16:01
we're stuck on a fixed income it's
16:03
terrifying yeah
16:04
that would suck but through the blue
16:06
door our money outlives us
16:08
we retire on our terms our kids stay our
16:10
kids
16:11
not our caretakers we make work optional
16:14
yes
16:14

16:49
you're listening to the corvette today
16:50
podcast with steve garrett
16:54
thanks for listening to corvette today
16:56
i'm your host steve garrett with me
16:57
today is lance miller
16:59
the owner of corvettes at carlisle we're
17:01
talking about what's going on at this
17:03
year's event and in this third and final
17:05
segment
17:05
we're going to talk about what's new at
17:07
corvette's carlisle
17:08
first of all lance talk about if a
17:10
corvette owner
17:11
owns a 2012 carlisle blue corvette
17:15
what do they get they get free entry and
17:17
there's good reason for that the 2012
17:20
carlisle blue corvette is a one year
17:21
only color and it was for a 30th
17:23
anniversary of corvettes of carlisle so
17:25
i just think it's awesome that chevrolet
17:27
gm did that and we felt it was
17:29
imperative in fact when i found out
17:31
and they announced it at one of the race
17:33
events i had told everybody
17:35
listen if you have a carlot blue
17:36
corvette you will always be able to come
17:38
into carlisle events
17:39
free of charge and i've always held to
17:41
that that's amazing
17:43
i would love to have a carlisle blue
17:45
corvette anyway let alone just get into
17:47
the event itself that would be fantastic
17:49
it's pretty cool it's neat you know
17:51
we're almost at 10 year mark now
17:53
getting away from that it's funny
17:55
because people are still buying those
17:56
cars and they'll still reach out to me
17:58
and say hey i hear i can go free and
18:00
they haven't been here before so it's
18:01
awesome
18:02
it was just fun to do that's fantastic
18:05
now
18:05
talk about what's there and available
18:07
for corvette clubs with the corvette
18:09
club challenge
18:10
and what a corvette club gets for having
18:12
the largest representation at corvette's
18:14
carlisle
18:15
absolutely bragging rights that's what
18:17
it comes down to
18:18
myself my team go out there and we'll
18:20
check out what the different clubs have
18:22
up
18:23
when they have a tent what they can do
18:24
is basically dress it up however they'd
18:27
like
18:27
now on that note some people go
18:29
completely bananas others may just have
18:31
a banner up for that matter
18:32
so typically when they go bananas we
18:34
love it and we want to
18:35
encourage other clubs to do just that so
18:38
we give them an award
18:39
so it's always fun to go through and see
18:41
people enjoying themselves with whatever
18:43
theme they might want to do that
18:45
particular year so
18:46
it's fun to see and it's a lot of fun to
18:48
hand out the awards as well
18:49
and obviously we want big clubs because
18:51
we want lots of people to come out to
18:52
the show
18:53
that's cool and if the club doesn't have
18:56
their own tent they can actually
18:57
rent a tent on the grounds there right
19:00
absolutely
19:00
my dad started a long time ago he had
19:03
clubs coming
19:04
and saying hey we want to become a
19:05
corvette to carlisle just remember
19:07
where we can set up and we want to have
19:09
all of our clubs parked right next to
19:10
the tent
19:11
so what we did my dad started doing this
19:13
for about two years and he realized that
19:15
he created a monster
19:16
so quite frankly he said you know what
19:18
i'm gonna stop doing this but for
19:20
everybody that's in here
19:22
now club wise we're gonna grandfather
19:24
you in providing you
19:25
25 cars or more so we did that
19:28
strategically
19:29
long long long time ago and i've
19:31
continued that tradition so what we did
19:33
was create an
19:34
area where it's just tense and where the
19:36
clubs can all get together but you can
19:38
park your car
19:39
basically anywhere throughout the fun
19:41
field but you will not be parking
19:42
directly to your tent
19:44
so it's still a fun area and it's great
19:46
area for people just to get out of the
19:47
sun
19:48
hang out with their club members and
19:50
have fun so that's what it's all about
19:51
that's cool and the one of the biggest
19:53
events that you do is saturday night you
19:55
have a parade through downtown carlisle
19:58
that thing is massive and it's so much
20:00
fun because
20:01
it's nice to see not only the corvette
20:03
owners have so much camaraderie but
20:04
quite frankly the town of carlisle
20:07
really comes together there's bands
20:08
downtown that are playing music
20:10
it's just a very party-like atmosphere
20:13
and you're a part of this
20:15
monster parade of 400 plus cars
20:18
going through town and then we literally
20:20
stop in the center of town and just shut
20:22
down the entire town
20:23
so it's a lot of fun people just
20:25
absolutely love it
20:26
last year in fact dudakova we couldn't
20:28
have it so i'm thinking this year is
20:30
going to be a little bit crazy downtown
20:32
because there's a lot of pent up demand
20:34
i think you're right i think everybody's
20:36
aching to get out to shows and i think
20:38
this year's downtown parade is going to
20:39
be
20:40
awesome oh it will be a blast also this
20:42
year you're celebrating the 1971
20:44
corvette because it's the 50th
20:46
anniversary
20:47
and the 25th anniversary of the c4 grand
20:50
sport
20:51
talk about what those owners get and
20:53
what is going to happen during those
20:54
celebrations
20:55
absolutely the 71 core event we've
20:57
continued that theme
20:59
ever since 1953 just because of the fact
21:02
we had to keep
21:03
taking it you know since 2003 i should
21:06
say bringing
21:06
the 53s out to their 50th anniversary we
21:09
just continued that theme just because
21:11
people really enjoy
21:12
checking the different colors different
21:14
engine that type of stuff
21:16
so we've done that and we're continuing
21:18
that theme
21:19
and of course we can't put all the 71s
21:22
underneath the tent so
21:23
we do have an area where people can park
21:25
their cars and hang out and have fun
21:27
and really it's their time to shine and
21:30
let everybody come by look at their
21:31
beautiful cars and they can talk about
21:33
them and have fun so again bragging
21:35
rights
21:35
and the brand sport oh my gosh the skunk
21:38
group is such
21:39
a blast they're such good people they
21:41
love to get together and do a giant
21:43
blowout
21:44
every five years or so and now is their
21:46
reunion time so
21:48
if you want to see the most grand sports
21:50
that you've ever seen at
21:51
any event i guarantee you carlyle will
21:53
be your spot it's it's so neat to see
21:55
them come together
21:57
and i'll tell you what the pictures that
21:58
you get are just phenomenal
22:00
again it's just like-minded individuals
22:02
coming together having fun
22:03
and it really becomes finite because the
22:06
same people liking that particular car
22:08
it's just neat to see them all get
22:10
together and it's funny because all
22:12
their personalities are very similar and
22:13
it's just a
22:14
fun vibrant way to have a blast at a car
22:17
show
22:18
i can't wait to see those grand sports
22:19
and the 71 corvettes that'll be so much
22:22
fun
22:23
also seminars are a key element for
22:25
corvettes at carlisle
22:26
talk about the seminars i know that
22:28
master mechanic paul corner is going to
22:30
be there
22:31
talk about his seminars and the other
22:32
seminars that will be offered this year
22:34
we always try to get a different array
22:36
of seminars each year just because of
22:37
the fact we're trying to hit
22:39
every category essentially there's one
22:41
i'm talking to a gentleman
22:42
right now that does a big vlog on
22:45
youtube
22:45
and i think it's crucial to get
22:48
everybody involved just because of the
22:49
fact
22:50
it's important for people to see our
22:52
hobby growing and expanding
22:54
whether it's social media or just simply
22:57
your podcast for instance you'd be a
22:58
good one to do a seminar
23:00
no pressure buddy but we'll rope you in
23:02
i'll do one for you that'd be great
23:04
there you go
23:04
but i think it's a lot of fun for people
23:06
and it's interesting because a lot of
23:08
people won't take that step
23:09
reach out and say you know what i'm
23:11
going to do this i love the hobby and i
23:12
want to expand it further and that's
23:14
what you're doing
23:15
your passion shines through and it's
23:16
good for everybody well thank you
23:18
oh absolutely and you look at like paul
23:20
corner as you had mentioned
23:22
his seminar is unbelievable he carries
23:24
so much passion
23:25
it'll absolutely baffle you watching him
23:28
i think he
23:28
likes when your corvette breaks because
23:30
he can dive in and literally say okay
23:32
here's the problem
23:33
boom i'm gonna make it right he knows
23:35
every little issue on these cars
23:37
and i gotta tell you he saved a lot of
23:39
our different fun field participants
23:41
throughout the years because of the fact
23:42
their car may have broken down
23:44
paul will literally just come up and be
23:46
like okay here's what we need boom boom
23:47
boom he'll go down the list he'll be
23:49
done that car in an hour
23:50
and the people are just literally
23:51
hugging him at the end so the knowledge
23:54
that he has
23:55
he's almost like an encyclopedia for the
23:57
c5 and up gens it's unbelievable
24:00
what he can actually achieve in such a
24:02
short period of time
24:04
and the way that he conveys it to our
24:06
guests essentially it's like corvettes
24:08
for dummies on how to fix it and i'm one
24:10
of those dummies
24:11
i can break cars but i'm not very good
24:12
at repairing
24:14
you sound like me buddy that's for sure
24:16
and for those of you that are listening
24:17
and don't know paul corner
24:19
paul is a corvette master mechanic i've
24:22
seen him give seminars
24:23
and lance is right his enthusiasm just
24:26
pours through
24:27
and he will help you out if you bring
24:29
him over to your car he'll help you
24:31
solve the problem of what's going on
24:33
definitely go see a paul corner seminar
24:36
also lance this is so cool you can win a
24:38
2021
24:39
c8 corvette and a weekend stay at spring
24:42
mountain
24:43
how can people get registered for those
24:45
the 2021 corvette we actually have two
24:47
corvettes this year that we're going to
24:49
be giving away
24:49
wow one's going to be going away at fall
24:51
carlisle which is actually a cunningham
24:53
c8 corvette and it's a sweepstakes that
24:56
we do
24:56
and that's solely online so that's
24:58
chipmiller.org
25:00
or you could go directly to it it's
25:02
called corvettecontest.com again
25:05
corvettecontest.com
25:06
plenty of details and information about
25:08
that all the proceeds go to my father
25:10
chip miller amyloidosis foundation what
25:12
we're trying to do is
25:13
obviously encourage people to learn
25:15
about amyloidosis which is the disease
25:17
that took my father's life in 2004
25:20
and the other one is actually a raffle
25:23
car which will be given away
25:24
on saturday evening during corvettes at
25:26
carlisle those tickets are sold for 125
25:30
and they're only sold at our event or
25:32
you could send
25:33
in so you can find out more information
25:35
at carlisleevents.com on that particular
25:37
one
25:38
we typically sell out very quickly on
25:40
friday of the show for those tickets but
25:42
it's a lot of fun
25:44
hopefully we know the people that want
25:45
it if not i love hearing their
25:47
enthusiasm
25:48
when you pick up the phone call them and
25:50
tell them that they want it's it's just
25:51
phenomenal
25:52
that's fantastic and the weekend stay at
25:54
spring mountain is awesome as well
25:56
i tell people all the time that's like
25:58
my favorite place to go
26:00
not only are they incredible instructors
26:02
and teachers
26:03
but to have fun in a corvette at a
26:06
world-class facility i gotta tell you
26:08
spring mountain
26:09
has all the right ingredients and they
26:11
do it right you leave that place with a
26:13
big smile
26:14
but more so you leave it going i gotta
26:17
go back
26:17
and that's the way i feel every time i
26:19
go there it's such a good time and i
26:21
always encourage
26:22
every corvette owner not only go out and
26:24
drive your car
26:25
but go to spring mountain and see the
26:27
capability of these cars you'll be
26:29
absolutely blown away with how
26:31
phenomenal these things handle break
26:33
and of course where do you know how fast
26:35
they are so that's what it's all about
26:37
at spring mountain
26:38
they do a great job at teaching you how
26:39
to respect the car and quite frankly how
26:41
to drive it
26:42
on the edge i agree with you totally
26:44
when i went to spring mountain with my
26:45
c7
26:46
it was fantastic and for those of you
26:48
that have never been to spring mountain
26:50
it's like top gun for corvettes
26:52
they teach you how to drive that car to
26:54
the edge of the envelope
26:55
and the edge of the envelope for a c8
26:57
corvette is way out there so you're
26:59
going to have a great time
27:00
it would be neat if you could win that
27:02
weekend at spring mountain all right
27:04
hopefully lance we have wedded
27:05
everybody's appetite about coming to
27:07
corvettes at carlisle this year
27:09
how can someone register and also get a
27:11
hotel reservation
27:12
just stop in on carlisleevents.com on
27:15
our website and the hotel i told you
27:17
earlier amazingly enough
27:19
you get a better deal on our website
27:20
than anywhere else people think that we
27:22
have room blocks but reality is
27:24
on our website is by far the best prices
27:26
so i always encourage people just to go
27:28
there
27:28
and certainly register online at
27:31
carlisleevents.com
27:32
that sounds good and lance has been
27:34
gracious enough to give us
27:36
two fun field passes to give away on the
27:38
corvette today podcast
27:40
so you have one week to write me at
27:42
steve corvette todaypodcast.com
27:45
give me all your particular information
27:47
and we'll get you registered to win one
27:48
of two fun
27:49
field passes to corvettes at carlisle
27:52
coming up
27:52
august 26 through 28th of this year
